Description

Set in Eden Valley, the 19th century Appleby Manor Country House Hotel features an AA rosette winning restaurant which serves fresh, local produce. Views across the hotel’s beautiful landscaped garden can be enjoyed with a drink on the terrace. Each room has a seating area, some of which surround traditional bay windows overlooking the gardens and Appleby Castle. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Bistro 1871 offers guests a relaxed and informal dining style and a real log fire is the centre piece of the traditionally furnished lounge, in which guests can enjoy a drink. A full English breakfast is served in the Oak Room Restaurant which features a conservatory with views across the Lake District fells. Scenic hill walking and fishing are possible in the immediate area. Appleby Rail Station is just 10 minutes’ walk away, while the castle and Appleby Golf Club are a 5-minute drive. Penrith town centre is less than a 20-minute drive from Appleby Manor.

Do you do room service?

Hi, Yes we do. Breakfast is available between 8am and 9.30am and our dinner menu is available between 6.30pm and 8.30pm. A light snacks menu is also available between 12pm and 9.30pm. There is a £10 per person tray charge for room service

We have an on-site Spa at the hotel. The aqua thermal spa facilities consist of a hydrotherapy pool, hot tubs, steam, sauna, and salt rooms and foot spas. These facilities are chargeable and require booking.

Breakfast is included in Bnb rates & consists of both cooked and continental options. Appleby Manor prides itself on catering for all dietary requirements. Please make the staff aware during your stay and they will provide updated menus for you.

Do hotel guests have access to the spa or is this extra ?

Good evening, The spa is not included in the room rate. However, you may add spa use to your room booking by calling the hotel in advance or booking on the day of arrival. Spa access starts from £20 per person.

Do you supply the robes and slippers

We provide robes and flip flops for reservations where guests have booked and paid for access to our Aqua Thermal Spa.

How much is daily entrance to the Spa?

For residents this is £20 pp for 2 hours during the week and £25 at the weekend. For non-residents this is £25 during the week and £35 at the weekend.
